Bg Remover provides AI-powered background removal for images. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Service Description

Our Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to detect and remove backgrounds from images. While we strive for the highest quality results, we do not guarantee perfect accuracy for every image. Results may vary depending on image complexity, resolution, and subject matter.

Image Processing

• Images uploaded for processing are temporarily stored during the processing period
• Free-tier processed images are automatically deleted after 24 hours
• Paid-plan images are retained according to your subscription plan
• We do not claim ownership of your images or the processed results
• We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models

Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the images and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store temporarily, and deliver your content back to you as part of the Service. This license terminates when your content is deleted from our systems.

Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its algorithms, software, designs, documentation, and branding, is owned by Bg Remover and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without express written permission.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content you upload does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights, contain illegal material, or otherwise violate applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be in violation of these Terms.

If you use the Bg Remover API, the following additional terms apply:

API Keys

API keys are unique identifiers that allow you to access our API. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure and confidential. You must not share, publish, or embed API keys in public-facing code repositories. If you believe your API key has been compromised, you must revoke and regenerate it immediately.

Rate Limits

Fair Usage

You agree not to exceed the rate limits for your plan tier. Excessive requests, automated abuse, or attempts to circumvent rate limiting will result in temporary or permanent suspension of your API access. If your needs exceed our standard plans, please contact us for enterprise solutions.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you choose. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.

Subscription Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Price Changes

We may change our subscription prices from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period after the notice. If you do not agree with the price change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied with the Service within the first 14 days of your initial paid subscription, you may request a full refund. Refund requests made after this period will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

You agree not to use the Service for any of the following purposes:

• Uploading, processing, or distributing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or obscene content
• Processing images that contain child exploitation material (CSAM) — violations are reported to authorities
• Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our AI models or algorithms
• Using automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond approved API usage
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or other user accounts
• Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful software through our platform
• Using the Service to create deepfakes, fraudulent identity documents, or content designed to deceive
• Reselling or sublicensing access to the Service without our express written permission
• Engaging in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Service

Violation of these prohibited uses may result in immediate termination of your account and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement authorities.

Your privacy is critically important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the terms outlined in our Privacy Policy.

We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any results obtained through the Service. You acknowledge that the results of background removal may not be perfect and use the Service at your own risk.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may terminate your account by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your dashboard settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination include, but are not limited to, breach of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or prolonged inactivity.

Effects of Termination

• Your right to access and use the Service will cease immediately
• We may delete your account data, including uploaded and processed images
• You remain liable for any fees incurred before termination
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive
• We will provide a 30-day data export window upon request before permanent deletion

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bg Remover is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Service after said changes constitutes your agreement to the revised Terms.
